Welcome to the end and to the beginning. As human kind embarks on its last leg of an incredible technological and cultural acceleration, there are those of us that feel what is happening, but are confused about what we can and should do about it. What does it mean? where are we going? No one has all the answers, but some ask the right questions.

Love and Fear
One of the most important dualities in the universe, love and fear influence almost every aspect of the human experience, for better or worse. Quite often human beings are motivated by one or the other or, more often, a complex combination of the two, as with most things.
This is an important thing to understand about dualistic philosophy. "Good" is never a particular extreme - even when compared to something as innocuous and positive as love. Unquestioning love can get you into as much trouble as unrelenting fear. Love and fear are not "good" and "bad" respectively or even vice versa - you may"love" something harmful (a destructive relationship or drug habit), or "fear" something quite dangerous and worth avoiding (perhaps you fear your children running into the road- in which case your fear is likely to motivate you to protect your children).
And this is the crux of most mature dualistic philosophy - That anything taken to an extreme will begin to resemble its polar opposite. this is the principle of the yin and yang symbol - at their strongest, the two extremes contain the seeds of each other. seeds that will destroy the yin or the yang from within, and restore the universal tendency for balance.
